Have you been unemployed for more than 12 months? The Job Placement Program provides intensive one-on-one job placement assistance, job search workshops, access to Internet accessible computers, network with other individuals seeking employment, resume development, application and interviewing tips, and on the spot interviews and hiring events with employers. It is FREE to those who meet eligibility: must be a Delaware County resident (verification required), serious about finding employment, work collaboratively with Job Placement staff, participate in Job Club activities. Participants have found employment in the following fields: child care, clerical, construction, health care, hospitality, manufacturing and retail. Average wages range from $10-$40 per hour.

Job Placement
The Business Interface (BI) Job Placement Staff provides career and job coaching to clients enrolled in its programs. The goal of coaching is to help guide clients toward a career that has the potential for long-term success, family sustaining wages and advancement. Case management Services include a range of supports designed to help individuals reach of level of stability during program participation and beyond. Experienced staff serve as informal counselors, program advisors and crisis prevention advocates in support of client success. BI staff connects clients to housing or rental assistance, clothing, food banks, mental health/substance abuse programs, medical assistance, transportation assistance, childcare, and other training and work experiences determined through eligibility. BI’s job placement services entail a variety of activities designed to fully prepare individuals for not only employer interviews but long-term sustainability and movement towards a career goal. From week one clients are assigned a team of staff that works to identify the best job/skill match and then designs an employment plan to help reach the goal. Once placed in a job, strategies such as job coaching ad retention services play a key role in maintaining the employment relationship.
