Delaware County’s OJT program opens new opportunities for job seekers and provides incentives to local employers to train and retain employees for skilled positions. Jobs available depend on current employer needs and are therefore subject to change at any given time, but there are generally opportunities in energy, healthcare and advanced manufacturing industries.

The On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program in Delaware County matches skilled job seekers with quality jobs. Employers can save money on recruiting, hiring and training costs using OJT funds. This gives job seekers involved in the program an edge over other candidates. The OJT program allows employers to receive funding of up to $5,000.

The mission of the OJT Program is to connect job seekers who have a skills gap to a position they are qualified for with just a small amount of upskilling. Examples of candidates for OJT would be recent graduates attempting to enter a field with little to no experience, someone attempting to make a career switch, or someone who is reentering the workforce after a period of time.

Please reach out to the OJT Program Coordinator, Bob Martin at bmartin@edsisolutions.com if you are an employer looking for candidates. If you are a job seeker looking for work, please contact the OJT Recruiter, Reenie Ednie at rednie@edsisolutions.com.
